How to Create a Social Profiles Destination with TacTile
A TacTile Social Profiles destination lets one tap or scan open a hub of your social accounts, shown as recognizable platform icons that deep-link into the native app itself. It's set up with a single path — Link — where you paste your handles or profile URLs for each platform.

A Social Profiles destination is a tap-to-open hub of your social accounts that opens each one in its native app rather than a mobile browser tab.
The average link-in-bio click-through rate sits at just 2-3% industry-wide, but creators using dedicated link-in-bio tools see CTR 2.3x higher than a plain bio link.
How to create a social profiles destination
Paste your existing social handles or profile URLs — the only path Social Profiles offers.Recommended
- Open the TacTile app and tap Create.
- On the category picker, select Social Profiles — "All your social accounts, one tap".
- On the type picker, confirm the Social Profiles type, then continue to the (only) Link path.
- Add each platform you want included — Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, X, YouTube, and others.
- Paste your handle or profile URL for each platform you add.
- TacTile validates each link and assigns the correct native app icon automatically.
- Drag to arrange the order platforms appear in the hub.
- Preview on both iOS and Android to confirm each icon deep-links into the actual native app, not a browser.
- Name the destination and tap Save & Publish.
- Assign it to your NFC card, tag, or QR code, then test it yourself with a second phone.
Which path should I use?
There's only one path for Social Profiles — Link — so the real decision isn't Build vs. Connect vs. Link, it's whether Social Profiles is even the right destination type at all. Its two closest siblings are Link Hub and Contact Card. <a href="/how-to/link-hub">Link Hub</a> is a generic multi-link landing page — a grid of tiles that can point anywhere, including social profiles, but rendered as plain tiles with no special app-opening behavior; tapping a Link Hub tile for Instagram typically opens Instagram in a mobile browser rather than the app. <a href="/how-to/digital-business-card">Contact Card</a> can include social fields too, but its core purpose is saving your name, phone, and email to someone's contacts app — social links are a secondary feature there, not the main event. Social Profiles exists specifically for the case where social presence is the main event: recognizable native platform icons, arranged specifically for social accounts, that deep-link into the Instagram, TikTok, or LinkedIn app itself — not a browser rendering of the mobile site.
Common use cases
Touring musician
Puts a Social Profiles destination on merch table NFC cards so fans tap once and land directly in the actual TikTok and Spotify apps to follow, not a mobile browser.
Influencer
Replaces their old link-in-bio tool with a TacTile Social Profiles hub tied to an NFC ring, giving followers native-app access to every platform from a single tap.
Boutique gym storefront
Adds a Social Profiles QR code to its front window so passersby can follow its Instagram and TikTok directly from their phone camera without hunting for a handle.
Wedding photographer
Includes a Social Profiles tap card in their client welcome packet so couples can follow their Instagram portfolio and TikTok reels with zero typing.
Local restaurant
Puts Social Profiles on table tents so diners can tap to follow the restaurant's Instagram and open its Google profile to leave a review, all from one card.
Social Profiles + analytics
Every tap and scan is logged with timestamp, device type, and location region. TacTile also breaks down taps by individual platform icon for Social Profiles destinations, showing which social account visitors chose to open most — useful for knowing where your audience actually wants to follow you, rather than guessing from platform-side follower counts alone.
